Post A few quick SONAR tips!
I thought I'd share a couple (or three) SONAR tips. "Just ASC" - Alt, Shift, Ctrl.

Hold Alt and mouse drag in the waveform of a clip to select a portion of the clip. You can then cut, copy, or drag that portion directly.

Hold Shift to allow only vertical movement of a clip. This will allow you to drag a clip to a new track without any possibility of getting it moved horizontally and out of time/sync with the rest of the project.

Hold Ctrl to copy and drag whatever portion or clip you're working on.

Lastly, you can combine those keys. For example, I'll Alt drag to select a portion of a clip, then I'll hold Shift to prevent horizontal movement, then Ctrl to copy. I'll drag that portion down to the track below for separate processing and it leaves it in time/sync and leaves the original alone. Great for really fast, efficient vocal comping.

Forgot to mention, those tips will work for any Cakewalk sequencing program like SONAR Home Studio, older Home Studio, Pro Tracks, Guitar Tracks Pro, etc.
