Larrivee's Traditional Series was created with two things in mind - create an instrument with traditional 'vintage' features like a flat-top headstock, hand-carved volute, and diamond inlays while at the same time maintaining the unique tonal balance of the standard Larrivée symmetrical parabolic bracing system. An enlarged soundhole allows significantly greater mid-range punch, emphasizing the low end, and increasing overall volume. The 50 Series features their highest grade mahogany, herringbone trim, and traditional angled bone nut. The casted bronze open-back tuners feature engraved design work by Wendy Larrivée. One of the many fine details that put this series in a category of their own.
