Kala Voyage Collection Unity Mahogany Concert Ukulele

In collaboration with Maori cultural artist Sam Mangakahia, Kala created “The Voyage Collection”— featuring unique pieces of native Maori artwork. Sam has been telling stories through his art for 13 years and has created over 450 custom art pieces that each have a story. Voyage Collection designs/stories focus on specific human experiences we all share in common, in this case - Unity, designed with natural elements that speak powerfully to these experiences. The artwork is laser-etched on mahogany and each ukulele comes with a personalized Voyage Collection gig bag, and story card hang tag telling the unique message of each piece of art.

UNITY: This Maori-inspired design represents connection and unity. 

The hibiscus flowers in this design are intertwined with fern leaves (“koru” in Maori). The koru is a significant Maori symbol representing many essential things in life, including the bond between loved ones. The hibiscus flower has a vital role in this piece, representing beauty and grace. As you continue life's journey, this design is a reminder to give grace to yourself and others. As you do this, you will create trust and unity with the people around you.
