Larrivee's Legacy Series of guitars is one of the best guitar series on the market right now, with their all solid construction, meticulous attention to detail, and the fact that they truly are hand made instruments. We wanted to give the D-40R a little bit of a tweak, so we asked Larrivee to swap out the Sitka Spruce top that traditionally come standard on the 40 series instruments for a unique European Alpine Moon Spruce top. 

Moon Spruce brings a sparkly and punchy tone that is right between the tones of Sitka and Adirondack Spruce. When you pair it with the rich tone produced by the Rosewood back and sides on this guitar you really have struck tonal gold!
