In 2026 we are expanding our selection of incredible gear as part of always striving to provide our customers with the best selection and service as they start or continue on their musical journey. Part of this expansion includes adding some brand new lines that we are so excited to have, and without further ado we are thrilled to announce that we have added Furch Guitars to our acoustic guitar lineup!

These incredible instruments are crafted in the Czech Republic and will absolutely blow you away with how good they sound! Their current offerings are based on their Color Series featuring models within series named after colors of the rainbow starting with the Violet Series and ending with the fully custom Rainbow Series with offers within the Blue, Green, Yellow, and Red Series as well! In addition to the color series, they also offer travel guitar models! 

Furch has an incredible history going back to the 1970s when František Furch was a metalworker in his day job and a musician in his off time. At the time, Czechoslovakia was under control of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia, backed by the Soviet Union, which controlled the market and banned or heavily taxed products made by non-communist countries. This control made getting quality instruments near impossible, or at minimum extremely expensive. Thus František decided to try his hand at creating instruments himself so he could have something of quality to play, and he was very successful at it, eventually branching out to build and sell instruments to others. The only problem with doing that was that operating a private business was very much banned by the communist regime, punishable by up to 10 years in prison, but that did not deter František, whose passion for craftsmanship was met with a growing demand for custom instruments by musicians. In the 1980s František crafted over 100 instruments, but eventually the secret police caught wind of what was happening and František knew his time building instruments may soon come to a close. However, in 1989 the Velvet Revolution freed Czechoslovakia from communist rule which opened František up to expanding his business from his garage to actual factory space, and that growth has only continued in the years since. 

In 2006 František's son, Petr, joined Furch and brought with him ideas for implementing modern technology into their build processes. Such implementations included CNC production techniques, a new, lightweight bracing pattern, a unique UV cure finish, and a composite neck design. Most recently, with Petr's knowledge in engineering, Furch has debuted their new CNR Active neck design, which allows the neck to automatically micro-adjust based on humidity conditions to ensure that your guitar is always playing its best regardless of the climate!
