It's time to celebrate 10 years of the Paul Reed Smith S2 line! Introduced in 2013 as an additional production line to their Stevensville, Maryland factory (thus the S2 name) to provide players with an incredible made in USA PRS guitar at a more affordable price point. Initially featuring only 3 models, the S2 line has been expanded to more than a dozen model options!
To celebrate 10 years of these incredible guitars, PRS has introduced 2 limited edition Anniversary models, including this McCarty 594! It features all of the highly sought after specs of the original S2 McCarty 594 like the maple top, mahogany back, 24.594” scale length, 22-fret Pattern Vintage neck, PRS two-piece bridge, and vintage-style tuners; plus upgraded features like a Honduran Mahogany neck, Mother of Pearl bird inlays, and most exciting of all - Made in USA 58/15 "LT" pickups.
The 58/15 "LT" pickups are vintage-inspired pickups designed to capture the sweetness of old-school single coil pickups and blend that with the warmth of late 1950's humbuckers. The pickups have been fine-tuned using the PRS TCI process to provide lively and open tone with a focused midrange, balanced treble and bass, and exceptional clarity.
